What is the scale in fractional numbers?

In topography, there are several ways to record scale:

  1. Numerical is the scale written as a ratio of natural numbers, that is, in the form of a fractional number. For example: "1: 10,000," reads like "scale - one in ten thousand."
  2. Named scale is written in the form of numbers and units of measurement. For example: "in 1 cm -100 m", reads as "in 1 centimeter - 100 meters."
  3. The linear scale is depicted as a straight line, which is divided into equal segments. "Zero" is placed at the level of the second mark, hereinafter the segments are designated "100 m", "200 m" and so on.
