What is speech?

In modern linguistics, despite its relatively long existence, there are still many disagreements over the question of what speech is and what language is. The exact answer does not give any source, as the attitude to speech is different. Some argue that speech is a form of communication, that I, people, most linguists hold the opinion that speech is nothing but the product of human cognitive activity.

These different directions in the definition of speech were able to combine Ferdinand de Saussure, who called the concept of speech - speech activity. Following his understanding of this complex process, it is worth noting that language and speech are closely related. Speech is a way of expressing human thoughts. Speech is born in a language that is formed and lives within a certain people.

That is why speech is individual for everyone and even applies to human psychology. Speech varies throughout life depending on various factors.
