The Best Part of Waking Up: How Coffee Makes You Healthier
Everyday Health blogger and breast cancer survivor, Kathy-Ellen Kups says she started drinking coffee to improve her brain function after breast cancer treatment. She later found out that drinking coffee, combined with the drug Tamoxifen, may reduce the risk of breast cancer recurrence.
"Coffee has become part of a comfortable routine for me as well in the afternoons as I drink my Tim Horton's drive-through coffee on the way to my afternoon shift," she said. "I am happy to note that it is now, and has been, an effective part of my post breast cancer vigilance."
Coffee has been linked to a reduced risk of ER-negative breast cancer, but also a reduced risk of breast cancer overall.
