So, the Philippines is a state located in south-east Asia. In fact, the country is a set of islands. In total, the state includes about 7107. Some of them are similar to all the cities we are used to, while others can safely be called uninhabited. All these islands are located in the western part of the Pacific Ocean and belong to the Malay Archipelago.
In general, the Philippines was discovered by the Spanish conquistadors. Together with their captain Ferdinand Magellan, in 1521, they first came to this land, which was later named after their king Philip. And since then, everyone who was lucky to be here, does not want to come back.
The capital of the state is Manila. Also tourists go to such islands of the Philippines as Cebu, Mindoro, Palawan, Bohol, Mindanao, Negros, Mactan, Panglao and some others.
Climate and nature
The climate of the Philippines is a tropical monsoon, and in the south it can be subequatorial. In total, two seasons stand out: dry and rainy. The islands are very humid, but the temperature can be called quite comfortable. For example, in January-February here 25-26 degrees. And from April to June July, the temperature usually ranges from 27 to 30 degrees Celsius. In mountainous areas it is usually cooler.
The best time to travel to the Philippine Islands is December, February, March and May. But It is worth noting that the time frames of the seasons can shift, and the climate on different islands is often different and depends on the activity of cyclones and anticyclones.
It is worth mentioning that in the Philippines tsunamis and typhoons can rage. They can turn up at almost any moment, but the most dangerous time from this point of view is July, August, September and October.
The nature of the islands is unique and incredibly beautiful.Approximately half of the country’s territory is occupied by tropical rain forests consisting of palm trees, bamboo, orchids, rubber, apitong, banyan trees and other exotic plants.
But at an altitude of 1000-1200 meters above sea level, you can find shrubs and even meadows. The fauna is also interesting, it is represented by such animals as wild boars, deer, mongooses, various reptiles. There are a lot of birds on the islands.
