Inside the royal nursery at Anmer Hall
Ever wondered where adorable Prince George rests his weary head after a long day of causing mischief atAnmer Hall? The ‘little monkey’ as he is referred to by the Duke, enjoys a nursery adorned with Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle-Duck and the rest of the charming cast of characters from the Beatrix Potter books. Designed by London boutique Dragons of Walton Street, each piece of custom-made furniture has been hand-picked by the Duchess of Cambridge and follows the same theme as the young Prince’s first birthday party.
George is in good company, Princes William, Prince Harry and their cousins Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, also grew up in the comfort of a Dragons of Walton Street chamber. The London store is famed for creating pieces inspired by children’s favourites Beatrix Potter and Paddington Bear as well as their bespoke designs.
‘The only limit to what we can do is a customer’s imagination,’ explains Managing Director, Lucinda Croft. ‘Whether it’s a simple sketch or a detailed moodboard, our designers can work wonders with any budget. We can provide specialist support on space planning, colours, artwork, fabrics, upholstery, lighting and furniture design,’ she added.
Recently Dragon’s of Walton Street unveiled a new concession in Harrods. We’ve compiled the royal nursery designers best-selling Beatrix potter items, which a little bird told us are already installed inAnmer Hall….
